So since we’re coming to the end of the year, I was itching to go through my makeup drawer and the cabinet where I keep all my skin and hair care stuff. As you’ll see they really needed a cleaning out. So this morning before I got ready for work I decided to tackle them both.
So we’ll take the makeup drawer first, this is what I was up against.
Not to be defeated by the makeup I’d collected through the year, I quickly sorted everything into categories.
Eyeshadow, eyeliner/mascara, blush, foundation, tools, lip products, and everything else.
Then I cut everything down a bit and decided where it would go. It was kind of like playing drawer tetris. Anyways, this is how it ended up, I don’t really have special makeup so the stuff I rarely use went behind the box, and the things I use more often went in the box. I don’t know about anyone else, but I think it’s a lot less scary now.
So then I moved on to my cabinet which was even scarier than the drawer.
I pretty much just tossed everything I don’t use and everything that was empty. I was left with a lot less.
Left to right on the top shelf: hair, skin, medical.
Left to right on bottom shelf: nail polish, perfume, lotions I use daily, and makeup brushes.
So that’s how I spent my morning, and I hope it gives you guys some ideas for organizing your beauty items.
